About Yamanaki

Our History

Our History

Our History

Our farm was founded in 1975 by our late father, grandfather and Iliesa Tawake who was better known on the island as ’’Old Man Tawake’’. OMT had a vision to toil the land and support his families.

Today we praise God that we are blessed not only to look after our families but also our local communities and government from generations to come.

Welcome to Yamanaki

We’re more than just a farm. As a small, family-owned business from humble beginnings, we are deeply committed to producing high-quality, sustainably grown food that nourishes both our community and the environment. With a focus on ethical farming practices, we are passionate in working hand-in-hand with nature, ensuring that our products are not only fresh and flavorful but also grown responsibly.

Our mission goes beyond providing local, farm-to-table food. We are dedicated to supporting our local economy by fostering partnerships with nearby businesses and engaging in collaborative efforts with local governments to promote agricultural sustainability. Through these partnerships, we aim to contribute to healthier communities while preserving the land for future generations.

At Yamanaki, it’s about working together, building trust, and delivering food you can feel good about—because when the community thrives, we all do.

    About Yamanaki

    Our Farming Practices

At Yamanaki, we're committed to sustainable and responsible farming practices. We use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to ensure that our crops are healthy and free from harmful chemicals. We believe that by taking care of our land, we can provide our customers with the highest quality produce.

    Our Community

Giving back to our communities that have supported us on our journey has been a blessing and we are blessed to be sponsors for the Veilomani Young Boys Rugby Club who have quite a talent.

We had the pleasure of facilitating a ginger training workshop with the Fiji Crop and Livestock Council. Helping and working closely with local farmers and producers to promote the importance of local and sustainable agriculture, and supporting small businesses.

    Our Products

At Yamanaki, we offer a wide variety of fresh and delicious products, including seasonal fruits such as watermelon to root crops such as ginger, chillies, dalo (or taro), to voivoi. We have been blessed with rich soil and applying crop rotation helps to balance nutrients and prevent soil deficiencies.

All of our products are grown on our farm, so you can be sure that you're getting the freshest and most flavorful produce available.

Our first harvest of ginger yielded 67,000kg  over over 5 acres. We are continuously learning and improving the way we farm and will be sustainably  increasing the coverage to meet our customers demand.

    Our Collaboration

YamanakI Team was blessed to be offered an audience with Fiji Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Co-operatives, SME’s and Communications Honourable Mr Manoa Kamikamica, to discuss endless opportunities in collaboration with Fiji Government Initiative.
